Wish I could have seen it in its heyday! Wasn't the Steel Pier recently torn down or redeveloped or something?

In June of this year the pier celebrated its 110th anniversary. Trump, who owns the pier, will redevelop it with retail, condos and entertainment attractions once plans are finalized.

I love the signage along the old Boardwalk...

These images certainly capture a time and place in America that has all but disappeared.

Do you know if the Barry Goldwater billboard is on the same structure that you have labeled in 1951 as the Ballantine Ale and Beer building? LOOKS the same, but I need to be sure.

Also, do you know WHERE, exactly, on the boardwalk that long pier-like structure was or is?
