I always call my dad on Veteran's day (Viet Nam vet, retired Navy Commander). Makes me proud to think of all he did.

My Uncle Ralph Cramer, of Comstock, MI., passed away Sunday, age 88. He was a WWII Veteran, served in the Navy during WWII, saw action in the Pacific. Never talked about it with me as a kid growing up in the 50s & 60s. Had a habit of bending his one good ear towards me as I spoke, result of an injury account of explosion on his ship, I believe. I think of him today. He will be buried Thursday.
