I like that Union Pacific station in Las Vegas. Is that still standing today?

The Union Plaza Hotel and casino sits on the very spot of RR Station at the beginning of Freemont St.

So THAT is why the hotel is named Union Plaza. Thanks for that info! They should have built the hotel next to, or attached to the station.

notice the CNW "ball n bar" logo below the UP logo on the nose of the loco, when CNW ran the train east of Council Bluffs, Ia., into Chicago in conjunction with the UP. Unhappy with CNW's poor track, UP moved their west coast trains over to CNW rival Milwaukee Road in 1955.
