Comic Poster Stamps

Terry and the Pirates was an action adventure comic strip created by cartoonist Milton Caniff. The daily strip began October 22, 1934, with the Sunday color pages beginning December 9, 1934.

In 1946, Caniff won the first Cartoonist of the Year Award from the National Cartoonist Society for his work on Terry and the Pirates. Poster stamps produced in the 1940's.

And just for fun here are a couple of Combat Insignia poster stamps designed by the Disney Studios and produced in 1942 by the Hearst newspaper syndicate.

These are really cool. I like them all. I think the second one is my favorite.

I like how Burma has a sort of Veronica Lake quality.
