Vintage Amusement

Boardwalk and Amusement Center - Beautiful Daytona Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world. It provides some of the safest and best bathing facilities on the Atlantic Coast and the bathing hour finds the beaches thronged with those enjoying the sun and surf. Postcard circa 1940's.

The Rockets - Kennywood Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania "The Nation's Greatest Picnic Park". One of the largest and finest amusement parks in the United States. A wonderland of pleasure for the entire family with every kind of outdoor amusement device including a mammoth crystal clear swimming pool and beach. Not to visit Kennywood is not to know Pittsburgh. I love these old amusement park postcards. Kennywood in Pittsburgh is still a special place! They have so many old wooden coasters (along with some new ones), but the whole park has a vintage family feel to it.

Seems like a lot of these places tended to burn down. Accident? Insurance scam?

They sure look like they would have been fun places to vist!
