That's cool that the Good Luck gas station was still standing in 1982. Do you think it's still around today?
I love those old motel postcards. I am going to look on the "Live Maps" to see if the hotel in Houston is still there - I am getting "not".
Talk about a memory-jogger. I remember seeing that Seahorse Motel when we would go to Galveston to visit my aunt back in the early 1970s.
I always wanted to see inside that cool circular building but my dad would never stay anywhere but at the Holiday Inn.
The HI must have been close, because I have a specific memory of being outside at night near that big green Holiday Inn sign that buzzed as it blinked, and I sure remember seeing the Seahorse all lit up.
Also remember a car hauler with some new Lincoln Mark IVs on board.
All that from just a picture of that old motel!
Thanks for posting it.
