Mister Parker - R.I.P.

Fess Elisha Parker, Jr. (August 16, 1924 – March 18, 2010) was an American film and television actor best known for his 1950's portrayals of Davy Crockett for Walt Disney and his late 1960's portrayals of Daniel Boone.

Often-times I find that I'm unfamiliar with the names of these long-ago stars but when I see a picture like this one, it's an "a-ha" moment.

Dang.. I heard about this the other day. I was just watching Daniel Boone on a Retro Television channel on DirecTV in Colorado.

These two shows were some of me and my brothers favorites. So sad someone who was such a big part of Americana is now gone. R.I.P. Fess.
