More Fair Fun

More 1964 New York World's Fair fun! This time courtesy of "What Makes The Pie Shops Tick" on Flickr. ENJOY!

General Cigar Hall of Magic - Giant 8' Smoke Rings fill the sky over General Cigar's New York World's Fair Exhibit.

The American Machine and Foundry Company Monorail - This exciting ride of the future provides passengers with a 4000 foot ride at a height of approximately 40 feet.

General Electric Pavilion - "Progressland" is the theme of this dynamic pavilion. It shows how electricity has changed the world. An actual demonstration of atomic fusion is presented to the visitor. By night the attractive dome of the building glows with 1000 lights.

Transportation Area - Showing left to right, U.S. Royal, SKF, and Travel and Transportation Pavilion. In foreground is Chrysler Pavilion Pool.

This area could be called the starting point of the Fair since most people will come by subway and train and see this area first. Pictured left to right are American Express, General Foods Arch No. 1, Billy Graham Tower and the Federal Pavilion.

Thanks for this stuff.
"'s_Fair" said about it that
“Both the New York State pavilion and the Federal pavilion were retained for future use. No reuse was ever found for the Federal pavilion, and it became severely deteriorated and vandalized before being demolished in 1977”.

Best Regards,

Wow, I haven't seen a lot of these before. Love the "Cigar Hall of Magic" card.
