Vintage Hawaii

Here are some vintage postcards from Hawaii. Hula girls and pineapples, what more can you ask for. The old Dole pineapple logo on the back of the postcards is very cool. Here is a link to the Dole Plantation. ENJOY!

The Dole pineapple cannery in Honolulu is the world's largest fruit cannery. Here white-clad, rubber-gloved operators exert utmost care in trimming, inspecting and packing to insure Dole quality throughout.

In their own immaculately clean department, almost human Ginaca machines cut cylinders out of sun-ripened Dole pineapples, core them and remove that fruit which remains on the inside of the shells.

These are neat... obviously Dole was a big deal in Hawaii back then. Any guess as to the dates of these cards? The fact that they are b&w must mean that they are pretty old!

I forgot to put that in the post Major, they are at least from the 1940s, maybe 30s, not sure!
