More Main Street - USA

Here are some more vintage postcards from my collection. These postcards picture busy Main streets through out the good old U.S.A. ENJOY !!!

Norfolk, Virginia - Looking North on Granby Street - Norfolk is located at the core of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area, named for the large natural harbor of the same name located at the mouth of Chesapeake Bay.

Townsend, Montana, seat of Broadwater County, is near Camyon Ferry Dam, a wonderful fishing spot, and an Antelope Preserve. Hassel and Diamond City, ghost towns of Confederate Gulch, are two other interesting near by attractions.

Butte, Montana - Looking west on Broadway from Main; to the left pillars of the new Prudential Federal Building, to the right the First National Bank.

Main Street, Wolfeboro, New Hampshire - The town was granted by Colonial Governor Benning Wentworth in 1759 to four young men of Portsmouth, and named Wolfeborough in honor of English General James Wolfe, who had been victorious at Quebec in 1759.

For the millionth time, I wish I had a time machine so I could go back to these places and see them as they were.
